Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Just make it 5 days

At this point I would just rather they say in office 5 days, remove all “tracking” and leave us alone! (That will never happen I know). But pre-COVID when all we knew was in office, and flex to be at home as needed or we worked 4 hours office and the rest at home but because they gave us the autonomy, we often gave more than they asked. I want those days back.

@a6 They can fire you and you'd be bleeding money (if you even have savings). You can fire them by getting a new job but they would happily advertise your position for a lower salary. They are being arrogant because they know it is not a level playing field.

@b3 I think you and @ae are on the same side. Re-read the post.

@ae

That's nice.

But then covid did happen and we by-and-large worked appropriately while remote. Hence the strong resistance to those who desperately cling to the past and how things used to be.

Why not roll everything back, if your "logic" is so sound? We used to run things without computers, we used to be able to smoke right at our desks, we used to do a lot of things that don't happen now.

Odd that this is the only one where you are adamant...

Thousands of us were 100% working from home before covid.

Nah we don't need to go back to 5 days. I'll simply no longer put-in any extra effort, no more unpaid overtime. Maybe production incidents will go unanswered (I usually do immediately), since we're going to nickle & dime people, micromanage, & be insufferable two can play that game. I'll match their pettiness & stupidity t-t for tat.

That would totally be unfair to POC
