Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Question for HR

If someone gets terminated based on performance and marked by manger as ineligible for rehire, even after opening dispute with HR if decision is not changed, can they come back as contracting resource? Any advice on how to prove the rating was just part of larger cr-p to avoid paying severance. Any help please?

The matrix has changed for eligibility for rehire and failure to meet job expectations and a bunch of other term codes = ineligible for rehire by default. The result of WF hiring back underperforming employees who continue to underperform in their new role (loophole closed)

Meet your manager outside of work for a serious discussion. You'll feel better.

I am 99% sure that you cannot be coded as ineligible for rehire if terminated for performance.

@OP

Direct all that energy into finding a new role with a different employer. You will be happier in the end of that chapter of your life.

@c7 not a problem with if it was just me, but when a whole family is affected by a location strategy move. It becomes a problem. Hard enough to get by with real young ones. Then they decide to do this.

People dont have that kind of money to just uproot. Expensive.

Why would anyone want to return to this toxic mess? The job market is tough but there are much better places to work than WF. Try to branch out, cthis place will eat you up and sp-t you out AGAIN if you let it

Why bother?

Just start fresh somewhere new.
Don't keep ba----g your head against the wall of Wells.
They've for whatever reasons, branded you as being on the outs.
So stay out, and stop wasting energy trying to force your way in.

Retain your dignity and just move forward elsewhere.
Plenty of other opportunities, especially as a contractor.

I got an IM and didn't even realize it.
Laid off and sign back into workday and it was a review and the rating was dinging me for something that was 'discovered' they say (wasn't ever specifically told anything at any point)

To the point, they decided to use that information from a previous year and slap that on my most recent rating.
I guess they didn't ever think I'd see it.

Having worked contractor jobs one of the things that they first ask iis if you are eligible for retire.
If you are marked as ineligible to rehire, you are banned for life

Generally if you’re marked ineligible for rehire, you can’t come back on a contract. Your manager could fire you for nearly anything in an at-will state, be a je-k and mark you ineligible for rehire, and you’ll be hosed forever.
