Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

The “list”

Where’s the attendance list? Is it actually a thing or just a scare tactic to get people in the building. Inquiring minds want to know.

@23c having a hard time filing key roles??? They’re actively screening qualified ex leaders and representatives. That’s their own fu--ing problem.

I asked my manager and “off the record” I was told that layoffs will be a consistent thing for the near future. Sr mgmt doesn’t want a mass layoff to make the news because staples is having difficulty filling key roles. I was also told they (NAD) have the attendance data and some depts have been forced to use it to encourage a person to move on.

If you get fired, you don’t get unemployment or a severance.

My manager just said this morning he has not heard anything about attendance, but I am on the Retail side. I know in the past NAD was monitored more for that.

It's a thing--my manager brought it up during our yearly review. They're getting the stats on attendance from HR.
