Anyone notice this year their pay seems a bit lighter? I'm all for not having to pay at tax season but in this economy I'm not willing to wait until 2027 to get my money back from the government. Would prefer payroll figures out their error and fixes it.

@j3 yes, this is an actual tax increase for 2026 that many people didn't realize was com8ng even though we were notified. The notification was not clear at all.
If it’s a base pay being lighter issue that’s a payroll hr issue.
If it’s a tax withholding issue, that’s a you issue. Go fix it. The tools are in workday.
If it’s an after tax withholding issue that’s also a you issue. Did you check your healthcare and 401k withholdings?
Very rare that it’s a payroll issue. Even the Mn caregiver thing isn’t a 3M problem. Thats a state thing that 3M can’t control.
Probably just higher deductions this year to pay for more Minnesota Learing Centres.
Go back and compare your January and February payroll statements against November and December to see what changed. Most people's medical and dental insurance deductions increased in January. Are you contributing more to your 401k, HSA, or other accounts than last year? If you're in Minnesota you probably have a new deduction for the paid leave program that started in January. If there actually is a payroll error that they haven't found 3 months into the year, then they're probably not going to magically "figure out their error and fix it". Get out your calculator and figure it out.
Lighter due to MN and Family Medical Leave taxes (0.44%)?
It's shocking how low it is.... and I'm getting 3K back this tax year, 3K last year.... definitely not paying too much tax when I get that much back!
It's probably not a payroll error; it's probably that the withholding tables are indicating that more should be withheld even with the same number of deductions.
