That's what this is all about. It's as simple as that. They want you to quit to keep the actual layoff numbers smaller on paper and significantly cheaper.

No one is going to quit because unless they are nearing retirement there are no jobs out there! No one on my large team has quit. If they want to layoff, they would just layoff as they always have. In the 10 years I have worked here there has always been layoffs. Layoffs are not a new thing for USB. When I was hired I was told that USB had layoffs all the time and I should not take the job.
