Southern Parallel Forest Products closed its Albertville sawmill. This closure resulted in 62 workers losing their jobs. Slow sales initially forced a shutdown in October. A fire further damaged the sawmill in December, stopping production. The company hopes to reopen the facility in late 2026 or early 2027.
