Being employed is still better than job hunting while unemployed, so that's what I've been doing. The office has been chaotic for months, which means I can focus on what actually matters to me. Management's inability to manage through layoffs? Not my problem.

OP, assuming what you are saying is true don't you think that you should STFU about it and go about your day stealthily rather than maybe drawing some attention to yourself and others? I doubt that you are the only person to be doing this so why make it something management might decide to spend time on? Getting fired for cause means no severance. These posts are read by more than just disgruntled employees...
