Training sessions are short and packed with information. There’s not enough time to actually absorb anything properly. Afterward, you’re expected to perform like you fully understand everything. Who thought this was a good idea?

I was going to post this same thing. What training? 20 years at L3Harris-related companies. Training on company policies, NOTHING related to a job.
@pn
sounds like the Clifton two -step.
Some of my training consisted of being trained by someone who had been there for 20 + years and viewed every system he worked with as his personal fiefdom and was so annoyed he had to show someone his “secrets” that he acted like he couldn’t be bothered and would do a half a-s job showing you the ropes.
Training was previously done by senior, experienced personnel. But the company did only thing it's ever been good at. It got rid of them
Training is likely to get worse for legacy SAS as most of it was handled by the segment, now the sectors are on their own to do it. Some functions are probably more impacted than others. Training sessions are short because they’re IDL and they’re trying to minimize that as much as possible.
training and hr are corporate shields, not employee growth opportunities
Training? You got training? What location and what role?
