Did I hear VK correctly on his town hall this past week that they are going to be changing the Honeywell name to something else?!? Curious as to what’s going on there …

You keep hoping Honeywell would be acquired by other companies but when has that ever happened for a profit? Allied signal bought Honeywell to extract value like a vampire. Using honeywell name they still do this .. more than 50 times by my count… acquire , bleed dry, abandon to wander vision-less like an industrial zombie.
What part of that dance card includes Siemens or Rockwell. More like would be Tata

The name is the only thing left post allied signal draining Honeywell dry for 27 years.
Siemens is a pretty good company. The overlap of footprint would drive a big reckoning.

The company has amounted a terrible reputation in industry, the heritage and legacy still has value though hence why Allied Signal kept it. You have two options I guess A) Keep the name, turn the boat around and rebuild the reputation or B) the lazy way out, rebrand and hope you can fool the market with expectation of being all shiny and new....but still just be the same old 5hit.
