@pz it varies for different levels. You can find your severance information through Magenta Pulse or HR.
What is the severance package for T-Mobile? I've heard 1 week per year and I've heard 1 month per year.
Severance
@hz “ Nothing says you can't login under someone elses TMOB login”
This is not true. They use passkeys and I would like to know how you do this.
You need to fully understand how the severance package works and the nuances of it. There are 2 parts, 1) notification, 2) separation. In my case, I was "Notified" on August 19th 2025 that my position was terminated, that was my 60 day notice of separation. I was effectively laidoff, but I was still considered a full time employee until my separation date of October 19th. In short, for the next 60 days was a paid vacation..thus if I accepted a job offer before Oct 19th, I'd effectively be resigning from TMOB, thus forfeiting my 26 weeks of severance. Now once Oct 19th comes, the rules change..but have a hitch. If you get a job at another carrier, you get to double dip...HOWEVER, if you hired by a TMOB vendor and you get assigned to the TMOB contract, you will not get TMOB access privileges until your severance is over. Nothing says you can't login under someone elses TMOB login...but that's up to the vendor who hires you...just don't get caught. If you happen to get rehired by TMOB for a full time role at TMOB, then you loose any severance going forward. Like someone said, trying to double dip is a person decision as everyone's situation is different. Personally, TMOB did me a favor as the stress and BS wasn't worth it any longer. HR updates and posts the severance package...so be sure to read it thoroughly before making any decisions.
@cz base on what I read yes but you have to make sure they stop the severance payments or you have to pay it back to them once hired
@dr And that's why they're outsourcing coding to a T-Mobile branded development house in Hyderabad. They can pay cr-p wages, demand long hours and get the same bad code
I've tried.
It isn't worth it even if you're desperate.
T-Mobile doesn't value internal employees! Take the severance and if all else fails contract yourself back to them and drain them beaches.
Then go out on LinkedIn and see the post from Salish talking about how amazing tea life is and how great Senthil and Kevin Lau are, and a whole bunch of other people he tagged. Funny thing is everyone he tagged in his post are the people who are actually causing the problems and making it difficult for anyone to get anything done. No call out to the teams working seven days a week in some cases to get sh---y code out the door.
can we take the severance again and join back after few months in a different role?
Bring yourself to reality

No one can answer this but you. This is highly dependent on what stage you are in your career, life, and where you live.
