@1a1 They are REDUCING the 401(k) match. it was 4.5% + 3% non-elective, for 7.5% total. It will be full match up to 6% + 2% non-elective until the end of the calendar year (the 0.5% more you called out). Then, starting in January, it will be full match on 6% + 0% non elective. This is a significant DECREASE. One can only hope that safe harbor laws catch up to them.

@OP @OP As someone in middle mgmt, I don't even know the purpose of this VOA survey. They laid off everyone above us, around us, and dissolved US Region last fall. I've had 4 different mgrs in the past few months. No opportunity to promote people, and half of the roles in US have gone to Genpact / HCL etc. So what do they want us to do? We are not magician here. We can't make a horrible company look good just because we have a mgmt title. What a joke of a place!!

@cp The survey is strange. Who can fill it out truthfully? Managers get the results and they can easily tell who said what. There's no way I could fill it out the way I wanted to. I had to go back and change all my responses before I submitted it because I looked to see if managers get the responses. And talking to others sounds like i'm not alone in doing this.

@17y exactly. The ESPP is not a benefit, it attempts to dampen the blow of decreasing the nonelective 401k contribution, and increase stock ownership/support the stock price. Increasing the 401k match from 75% of 4.5% max to 100% of 6% max is great for high earners who contribute the max to their 401k. They'll get 0.5% more. But most employees probably don't fall into that category. If they did BD would not have increased it. So most employees will lose out and the benefit of the nonelective contribution that's included in total comp will go down. These are ways for BD to hang on to cash, shift risk away from company and to employees, and say they're giving employees more control.

@127 notice how the survey has non controversial questions about CULTURE .. about leadership about career advancement and growth all it focuses on is how ur manager supporting u and do u recommend bd as a place to work ? Ummmmmmmmm. W T F is this survey????

@cp positive note ? Ive been with bd for over a quarter of a century they never had a ESOP arrogant and riding on thee high horses now that the stock and the company is in shambles and stock is stabling they want US to buy it to “save” it .. I don’t think so .. TP thinks we’re id--ts it’s an insult .. no one should put their money in bd stock right now or anytime in the near future your money will turn to dust ..

I honestly don't understand why they even bother to do VOA survey at this point. You don't backfill our CFO, you are scaling back our benefits gradually but surely, and many senior leaders left, left and right, while GP is making more and more from us every.single.day. If this is not a sign of what they are doing with this company...

Voice of associate being five questions says it all. My car dealership asked more about my last oil change. Survey was over so fast I was shocked, you must be joking. On a positive note they are starting an employee stock purchase program.

The fact that they are always posting signs telling everyone what a great company BD is to work for says it all. If you’re a great place to work, you don’t need to keep telling your employees you are.
They will be sure to put a positive spin on the survey results no matter how bad they are. As always is the case, the results and action plans to remediate are all predetermined before the survey is even sent out. The motto is, if we say it, then it must be true. BD is full of sheep and leadership knows it.
