Managers are leaving

Several managers have been resigning at the EFK site over the past few weeks. What do they know that the rest of us don't know?

Ultimately, it tells you that the company's management model is unsustainable, leading to high-stress, low-support environments that top talent avoids.

@f1 I didn’t mean it shuts down on purpose. But when all the leaders, and talented individual contributors leave, how does it function?

They have "mothballed" so much of several buildings at the efk site to save costs. I can't see them shutting down the site. I see them squeezing every last drop out of employees, contractors site facilities to save money. Perhaps they will sell efk and the hudson sites off to another company.

They know if you got a performance rating of 1 or 2 you’re not getting a raise. Let’s see how moral is at the end of May when people find out.

To be clear, it’s senior management/ directors leaving and it’s been happening more than a few weeks. EFK isn’t what it used to be. At this rate, the place shuts down in a few years. Ramp or not.

@OP

People don’t quit jobs they quit their manager.

Roughly 57% to 90% of employees quit due to issues with managers, such as micromanagement, poor communication, lack of recognition, and toxic work environments, rather than the job itself. Employees often endure difficult roles, but leave when managers fail to foster trust, growth, or a supportive culture, making leadership quality the primary driver of turnover.
