Word has it that as of April 17, 2026 there have been 30 people laid off from the Eliquis assistance program Cencora. That included managers, but there is word that there will be further management layoffs this week. The Phone team since the beginning of the year has only been receiving or actually averaging only 15 calls a day which is putting the processors of application in a position of having very little to no work to do on a daily basis. It’s very possible that processors will be, sharing phone duties and with the layoffs that may or may not increase some of the average phone calls for the remaining phone team that’s there.
And there are many factors that are facilitating the layoffs this go round. Very much the tariffs and the war in Iran. The healthcare, particularly the insurance industry has changed and is making it possible for Medicare patients in particular to have much more affordable access to Eliquis. Medicaid patients are no longer calling in because now Eliquis is covered totally under Medicaid, and I do believe that the private commercial insurance companies are still only charging $10 for the medication as long as you Are working and have commercial insurance.

I think we will see what happens, this is caused by the iran war and supply chain problems. If that resolves soon, I would imagine layoffs will be out of the equation. If their hands are tied, im sure they will gut newer departments that were added late 2025 and early 2026. Time will tell, its best to polish that resume and prepare for the worst.

Anyone hearing if layoffs are already planned and this is just a precursor to that?
