I am looking to make a heroic return to State Farm. How have things been since 2020 after I left? Has the pay gotten any better? I'm looking at working as a Software Engineer as the market is too brutal right now and this place is my only hope. Is the interview process still easy?

TT and FO are two execs I would work for. Definitely avoid Digital Exp and Auto
Ask on Blind, the people on this website are generally clueless when it comes to ET/Infosec stuff and are completely blowing smoke.
I call ET a directionless morass.
Only a desperate fool would apply to State Farm at this point. State Farm is one of the most toxic and and hostile work environments have seen over the years them harassed and batter employees inside and outside of the work environment. Work life balance, my a-s! There have been numerous incidences of State Farm even going after Employee’s children. That is nothing short of child abuse. What do you expect from a criminal organization like State Farm?
Get you experience at SF and go somewhere else
Im sure SF is hiring, but the executives are doing everything they can to make sure as few american workers exist as possible. AI and offshoring are huge right now.
Expect: forced reassignments as the company plans to understaff, and then enough quit and they are forced to move people from other roles as a band-aid. You will have little to no say where you are working, and likely will get into a role you love through hard work, only to be reassigned back into the old role you left due to need.
Increased AI removing roles/oppertunites
Increased offshored workers creating messes for you to clean up and possibly taking your job, they get paid like $5k a year so...
Increased office time, as our change resistant dinosaur executives cling on to over priced offices while gaslighting everything they do is to save the customer money.
A generally zero-trust environment where decisions are second guessed.
This is not a place i would look for a career, if you need a job and they hire you, get experience, make them pay for a degree, and get into an industry that isnt trying to self destruct.
@bk nah I’m unemployed and looking to get paid. Gotta keep a roof over my head and all that?
It is a unique role for sure. Little pressure and dont have to work very hard. Rest of company is retuning to office but we got the hall pass with a looming 2028 date. So - if you are looking to skate this is the place. If you want some challenge probably look elsewhere.
Wow looks like the featured job in the SF career site is AI experienced SE role are they really hiring for it?
Not good, if they're still hiring, massive mistake after signing deals with OpenAI and Anthropic cause jobs will be cut
OP is a troll. Ignore.
Just hired a class of 16 engineers. Things are great. No pension for new hires, though, but a better 401k. Pay is average ( low to mid 100’s) but you don’t work crazy hours or a lot of time over your 37 per week. Good luck. You’ll enjoy it.
