if you look at tgs, all sr dirs and vps are stuck in late 90s or early 2000s. our chances of building a modern and prosperous it org are zero unless we have new folks in these positions. that will never happen, so rest assured, things will continue to go downhill as the rest of the world accelerates change. at some point someone will wake up but it'll be way too late

@1hz must be some DEI joker🤡
Speaking about TGS and IT....anyone wanna guess who this came from?
💡 Innovation doesn’t start with technology — it starts with better questions.
The AI & Automation Innovation Tank is now open, inviting ideas from across BD to reimagine how work gets done.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of AI and automation, pitch high‑impact ideas, and see winning concepts funded and delivered with TGS.
Once you've submitted your idea to the Innovation Tank, share it below.
We can't improve it unless you submit it for consideration.
@OP Some of those VPs will throw some buzz words to appear smart but if you let them speak for next 30 seconds, you will surely understand the reality.
A BU prez once told me at a party that when his day’s going badly, he messes with TGS leaders for fun. He’ll ask them a technical question in a sarcastic way just to hear how they respond.
He meant it as a joke, but it actually highlights the grim reality of how things are at TGS.
@as they read a high level summary about a tool and then talk about it in meetings as if they have in depth experience with it. LOL. TGS is full of these geniuses.
@as and still doesn’t understand the purpose of that technology 😄
I wonder why IT seems to get most of the ‘love’ in this company when it comes to incompetent leaders. Being in a segment I clearly have no idea what IT should/could be doing better to support us. Maybe making cooler looking BD Excellence electronic dashboards. That seems to make everything better.
TGS is full of “experts” who love to mention technology they spent 5 min reading about on Google.
