Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Some people are taking PTO and not

Entering it in Workday. Isn't that grounds for dismissal?

@sp just like the capos in the camps - everyone infighting instead of focusing on the actual problem at the top. So easily distracted

@gp

Anyone who's defending the offenders of Not recording/reporting in Workday their PTOs taken, is probably doing the same criminal act.

And yes, it's Not only an Ethics violation but also a criminal act because it's stealing money from the employer and Shareholders even though it IS an employer that's abusive, rich, and deserves to get the shiv everyday!

Why should other employees get paid for PTOs they took, but other, Honest employees who booked their PTOs in Workday don't ??!!

The team/group manager is equally to blame because they're supposed to be diligent and apply the rules equally amongst their direct reports. These managers are complicit and enabling the offenders!

@sp

There's a way in Workday to see the PTOs of your team members. Go to Calendars and click Team members.

If you know team member-X took PTO on a certain date, but it's Not booked or recorded on the Workday team calendar, then that team member did Not record their PTO.

How would you even know other employees are or are not entering their days off in WD? Did you hack into their accounts?

Employees policing each other... ugh

This is inappropriate and break Citi code of conduct but based off of the way Citi is treating people, don't expect to get any compassion from people on this forum. See it as someone stealing money from a terrible boss who is also extremely rich. Is it wrong? Yes . Do you feel bad for that boss? No

You sound like a miserable bootlicker. Do you expect brownie points for obeying all the rules? Live and let live at this point.

@OP

Then report it to HR or open a Workday Case Ticket inside Workday.

Why should some people play by the rules while others don't??

The latter clearly know that by Not booking their PTO they'll get paid the salary/money in lieu of those PTOs if the enployees are Laidoff, fired or quit.

PTOs are non-Cash form of salary that are converted to cash if unused. They sit on the liabilities side of Citi's balance sheet because PTOs ARE Compensation/Salaries.

@OP Definitely not right, but in an environment where people feel like the rules aren’t always applied consistently, this kind of behavior tends to follow. Doesn’t make it okay - just reality of the situation the company has created.

I think the OP is talking about people taking PTO and not entering it into WD. Yes, it would be a problem if their manager was aware. Otherwise it's none of your business - unless you are planning on ratting them out. Which I wouldn't recommend. That behavior usually backfires.
