Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Geographic Locations

Curious to see how team members in different locations feel about job security, leadership, future, layoffs, etcetera. India? Mexico? San Diego? Other locations?

@yt With zero new logos since 2019 and a business model surviving purely on customer inertia—where clients simply haven't migrated their systems yet—how can you justify keeping so many people in Singapore?

Zero trust in the leadership and job security here in the APJ region. There are some redundancies happening this week with an AE going and CJ in Singapore given the move on. Long term tdc staff who have been thrown onto the scrap heap. Local leadership doesn't help either as they are more interested in having lavish meetings at vineyards than caring about employee welfare

There’s little job security in software companies, as the industry is increasingly being disrupted and outpaced by advances in AI and the emergence of AGI.
