LM is owned and generally energy self sufficient. LM is a prefab building that takes little maintenance. As for outsourcing our accounting teams, they are trying but it all feels like endless talk with roadblocks that has somehow taken on an AI sl--t when people were hesitant to the plans. I am not sure why Ireland or India couldn’t pass around excel spreadsheets the same for less money.

@z7 hahaha. Then why did they change their mailing address and principle off location from temple terrace to Basking ridge on February 12th 2026? Also, why haven't they filed their tangible person property taxes yet with Hillsborough County property appraiser? The deadline is tonight at midnight and they haven't filed for an extension. They always file for an extension.

@yv Please crawl back under the rock you came from. Your opinion is irrelevant to me and any common sense person out there. So what if it is? It's not about aesthetics. The operational costs aren't going anywhere - so you might as well use the building if you cannot get rid of it. LM is sellable, TT is not. Remodel the unfinished floors in TT.

@yt temple terrace is a shithole. Plus it's too large. When buildings are that big, you must run the AC frequent to make sure you don't grow mold inside the building in florida. The cost of utilities is way to high on a office like TT compared to LM

You could easily consolidate LM, Miami, and any other FL offices to Temple Terrace. Aside from plenty of office space, its also a data center and satellite farm. LM is over 10 years old, and the tax breaks were marginal, $7.5M.... It's in good shape that it could easily sell or sublet. TT is large and dated, and would be a tough sell.... so might as well use it.

Accounting can be easily outsourced to an onshore partner. What would be left in LM?

I’m not in FL, but based in NJ. Remove the noise- there is talent in LM that keeps VZ viable. It’s a quality center that supports critical functions of the business. Vz is stronger with geographical diversity.

Lake Mary could be shuttered and makes sense because Dan wants to cut costs. eliminating redundancy and placing Finance/Accounting with the rest of the business will unify strategy. cut costs and realize synergies. keeping Lake Mary seems not to be a good strategy

They were supposed to transition most of finance to Lake Mary, but Basking Ridge made sure it didn’t happen. It was a civil war for nearly a decade and of course there was no adult in the room to stop the petty executives from creating insane team overlap between the 2 locations. The worst of them got away with it and are still here 3 decades in with a 200 page deck culture to stand on.

Lot of accounting team sits there. So they should keep that function. BUT I hear the FPASS team sits there which makes no sense as most FPA sits in NJ.
