Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

UKI Town Hall

For those sensible enough to miss this, it was an hour of “John Smith, Fred Bloggs, Mavis Fritter…… all doing a fantastic job”. Next account, same script. Never knew there were so many accounts!
Nothing about pay reviews. Apparently everyone (except a few in Ireland) are all working above and beyond, so message from Captain DA was to work harder so he can get a few more DXC gilets. No Q&A as everyone knew what the topic would be.

@qw You're a perfect example of why DXC is so sc--wed, you think all DXC needs is managers, you say UKI Townhall but what you actually mean is yet another leadership circlej--kAnd when you get called out for being wrong, you get all defensive. You're clearly a useless management overheard where as I am one of those odd people who are both billable and deliver stuff to our customers, you know the people who do the work but in DXC we are considered unnecessary. As long as there are managers and HR folk, who needs workers? My only consolation is that if HR are telling the truth, which is doubtful, managers are excluded from April's reward round.

@d1 It was a Monthly Extended UKI Market Leadership 2026 Town Hall call. You’re obviously a useless non-billable HR pleb, hence no invite. Hope this clears up your concerns.

Such an obvious paradox exists. If we are all doing great, and we're all amazing, and the UKI is doing amazing, then why can we not afford to give the amazing UKI staff even a cost of living raise?

The answer, when pushed, seems to be "because UKI has not met its targets and therefore can't afford it".

So the question is - why does the buck for that failure not stop with UKI leadership? Why are they still in a job when they have failed? We did our job. We met our objectives. They didn't.

@ap So not a UKI town hall then, right thanks for clearing that up. I shouldn't be surprised anyone that vague & clueless must be management

They don't listen to us - I am not going to waste my time listening their their hype and spin. They refuse to accept we have any problems. Sure people are "busy" - but are they busy being useful, or busy chasing paperwork and arguing with the client to just approve something they already say they wanted doing in the first place! So much waste, caused by a complete lack of trust.

Be specific a town hall for who? It wasn't a full UKI one, so who was it for?

@ae It was a year end one. A great big management pat-yourselves-on-the-back one.

if there's been a uki town hall today, some of us have missed it due to a mailing list malfunction rather than our own intent.
