seems like it’s going to be a big number not sure if it’s just IT or everywhere

@x0 It's not funny but it's so true.
@ws don't give up your day job....this stinks.
Four cannibals apply for a job in a big corporation…
„Well“, says the boss, „if I hire you guys, you have to promise to not eat any of our staff.“
The cannibals promise that they will not eat anyone and get hired.
Everything is going well for a while, and one day the boss calls them into his office.
“You’re working well and all, but we’re missing an office cleaner. Do you have something to do with that?”
The cannibals swear that they are innocent.
The boss believes them and leaves the office and they all turn to their leader.
“You id--ts!”, he screams. “Who ate the cleaner?”
One of the cannibals sheepishly raises his hand.
“You fool!”, shouts the leader. "For weeks we've been feasting on directors, team leaders, project managers and human resource staff, and then you go and eat someone they'll actually miss!"
@rq don't get everyone's hopes up.
The Easter bloodbath is coming.
Get through April first, see you on the 6th!
Not likely, they are trying the easy path first by f'ng over the sales teams comps. Once that doesn't give them the results they will probably relook at it next half.
1% across the board with most groups exempt
Anyone hear the same ?
@bm And in spite of all the things you mentioned, and Dell's completely inept handling of EMC, ISG makes more money than CSG.
na, it will be minimal but will 100% focus on the mav folks who didn't make the OG deadline in February.
I wouldn't worry about it tbh.
@bc I wouldn't worry about mav layoffs unless you are an architect, PM or top level engineer, or manager/director heavily involved. There is around 25 THOUSAND people on this NDA and of those, only about 100 should genuinely be worried.
But, to answer the question... it's a LOT of BU's. ISG, Cyber, Network, IT, Sales to some extent, Developers, etc...
no but, mav is STILL behind schedule and far from ready lol, it WILL still go live in May (half broken, of course!) but i predict a good lot of top mav engineers/managers/directors will be let go for not having had it ready by the OG release date (february.)
Otherwise, no. business as usual.
All of ISG should be laid off. That org can't deliver anything on time, anything that works, or anything on budget. ISG Engineering and Product Development are a joke.
@b9 what area of the business? Is this in addition to the voluntary severance offered to ISG support in Germany?
I heard oy 1% of the company is exempt from the big may layoff.
Yesterday WFRs were announced in central Europe
nope, haven't heard a thing. Mav is having issues so perhaps they're delayed...who knows.
