It’s all smoke and mirrors. AI can’t do what people think it can but all of the leadership keeps running with it so they don’t have to admit the ROV isn’t there. Oh and the economy su-ks right now!
There’s no funding to implement anything meaningful.
Is it all just a publicity stunt so they can inflate the stock?

Copilot may technically be GenAI, but its one of the worst.
Also, the age of chatbots is over. Agentic AI will be automating a lot soon. Just not at WF.
The savings is in headcount reduction and the message to shareholders and the board is AI helped do that. Everyone inside knows it is not because of AI though.

Copilot is Gen AI. Ask it to draft you something, it will.
Now, if your job doesn't rely on drafting huge amounts of overly-worded business speak, code, or metrics?
It's probably not going to help you much. Which is the reason management thinks it'll change the world and knowledge workers think it's just a fancy search engine.
One funny point, vibe coding is so wrought with mistakes that an entire new industry of vibe code reviewers has popped up to help companies fix their vibe-coded applications.
Who says there isn't? It's just not ready yet, but it will come.
Is Gen AI ever being rolled out to the masses? Or we stuck with the sh---y copilot?
