Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Avg GL on this site? Good to know for context

I'm curious what the GL is of the folks that post here. Not trying to be inflammatory or judgmental at all, just curious to put the comments into context. BTW if you have to ask what's a GL, you're probably not an employee.

@jp they have a redeployment team. I was contacted through them. According to what I learned in the process they hold back a limited amount of jobs just for that team to be able to offer. You have to be in a good rating when rif’d to be eligible.

GL 27 with 5 years tenure. I was rif’d a year ago. Then brought back. I was rated 5’s every year and then this year a rated 3 after moving to a new team. Such a toxic environment I resigned.

@dw company is collapsing from ineptitude and complete misunderstanding of the market. What you get when you focus on AI hype rather than understand our industry and you bark orders to do it now but the plans change by the week.

Lots more RIFs coming. Big name departures which won't get publicly announced. Products/projects will disappear.

GL 28 and was RIF’d last year after 30+ years with the company. All reviews were 4/5. Kept my Associate Director who did little to help the team and berated me when anything went wrong. In my honest opinion, she should have been laid off.
