Severance - how long to receive payment?

Anyone have any experience with how long it’s taking to receive severance payment? I submitted mine electronically March 9th.

Can anyone answer? There was a portal for us to submit our signed severance right?

I received mine the following pay period, it was quick. I also turned my paperwork the first day it was due which was 2/6 for me.

Be sure to follow-up with Employee Relations!

I was RIFed January 23rd and submitted paperwork on the 8th. They never received it. Hopefully it comes soon. My husband passed away February 25th, and my son and I are scraping by waiting for the estate to be settled. It's been the worst year for us. :-(

@a3 Not really because - legal technicalities.

There's something like a 14 day window after you sign your severance agreement that you could 'reneg' or back-out. They don't pay out until you can't back-out of your signing the contract.

And you can't actually sign your severance agreement until your last day of employment, not the day you were notified your position was eliminated.
