Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Every week is a new plan

One week it’s “focus on growth,” the next it’s cost cutting, then it’s something else entirely. No one knows what the priorities are anymore, and it shows in how teams operate. At this point, the layoffs don’t even feel shocking, they feel like the obvious outcome of nonstop chaos.

The OP is wrong, its the same old plan. Reduce headcount, increase workload and shorten deadlines. When things go wrong, spin up a study group to figure out why.

Different battle, same playbook.

US Consumer Card is now in GO-MODE! Haha - alot of us are indeed going while there is alot of phony celebration and bragging about how great a year 2025 was.

Trim Ryan and CO, has a focus on growth by cutting, then expect AI to fill the gaps. He continues with his hokey Thursday reports about him and his family, while he is cutting staff. His comments about flying all around the world to get personal with his staff, but at the same time not allowing managers to meet their global staff in person is the next level of hypocrisy.
