Any updates or insights on how the Return to Office mandate is going in Palm Bay/Brevard County?

Someone I know was let go today. I know they refused return to office mandate. I'm not 100% as I didn't call them or anything to confirm if it was a layoff, I can only assume based on what we talked about what would happen if they refused. Good employee. Didn't deserve it and they should give them the perk of remote work as they desire. Now they will just be more expensive to rehire and I'm for that.
I am working at the Palm Bay campus this week, and it’s not packed like I expected it to be. Parking isn’t bad, and lots of empty cubicles in the HTC.
And if it’s applied to all segments including CHQ?
