Rearranging deck chairs. Verizon 101. If you can't sell and are getting destroyed by the competition, better look like you are making some type of change. Set the foundation and delight customers! Go V Teamers!

Can someone share what was the reorg? Who moved? Are they hallowing out Anil?

They moved the consumer stuff to VCG and the strategic work stays. The org structure actually aligns well with the teams that moved.

Gets less people under Anil which is good, imo he's probably not long for that role...

This has been going on for years. Leaders do it to create intentional chaos. It makes them never be held accountable because they keep changing their baseline reference point for finance to set targets from. Even finance itself has used reorgs as a tactic - such as using operational savings like call center outsourcing to hide their overlap and bloat. Constantly moving coe into and out of groups from fpas to data and analytics and back to finance. Moving transmutation teams in and out of finance all the time. What a disaster.
