@h0 yes get the stock up and ELT will leave and be replaced with new people in Canada from Ayman’s network.

No one wants our non-core product so my guess is that we’ll eventually go private to really restructure.

On March 16, 2026, the Wall Street Journal reported that the SEC is finalizing a formal proposal that would make quarterly reporting optional rather than mandatory. This report indicated the plan could be officially published as soon as April 2026. I bet OpenText will be one of the first companies to transition to twice a year reporting until we go private.

@h0 "OT is putting all of its remaining cards on this new operating model = larger, multi product and services deals."

At least that is a coherent plan, and more reasonable than anything the ELT has said in years. Not saying it is a good plan, but much better than just pretending everything is fine.

@bp Yes, big reorg company wide for FY27. The company will be run through an entirely different model. Huge downsizing of number of employees needed. As a second layer, with ADM and small business sec being carried out by FY27, many many less people support roles (25 percent cut there alone). OT is putting all of its remaining cards on this new operating model = larger, multi product and services deals. CEO will be announcing as part of his " I've been here a month and here is what we are doing" internal and external campaign. Overriding goal is to get the stock price up so many of the senior leaders can jump ship.

@g1 the devil is real. Look around the world.
And Palantir stock is up over 500% in the last 5 years.
Yes, I'd like to be like them.

@fq Palantir is lead by someone who thinks the devil is real. Is that who you want for leadership?!

@fj your VP told you who was being cut, I doubt it, lol

@ee Never forget this is entirely due to bad leadership. So much internal debt has been built up, so much complaining and laziness.

OT could have been Palantir with the data and orchestration they had - some of us tried in 2017/18. Middle managers seemed to love finding ways to say know, even when we had SOWs in front of customers ready to move forward.

@dh As OT has next to zero intention of trading it’s way out of the mess it has created for itself , 10% won’t change anything.

@br the commenter is simply saying things.

All tech companies are laying off thousands of people. OpenText is no different. There is no guarantee that it will happen next Monday.

Numerous sources, which are very valid. 23rd March is also exactly 4 weeks prior to new CEO joining, house will be cleared prior to his arrival, so he can start from clean slate.

Also I’m hearing bigger re-org plans for July 1, looking to move to more of a Geo based model, no doubt will be further changes then.
