Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

$100 says the Mar23 layoff will be “due to AI”

Following block , OpenText will use this at its new narrative

Before it was “Covid” then it was “tariffs/trump” now it’ll be AI

This is the only option they know

$100 well invested. They will close offices in the US and open ones in the Metaverse with AI bots working 24/7.

@OP spot on.

But at the end we are humans. we like to hear what we feel good for us.

I will assume, I worked hard all these years, and been productive to a level of recognition, unless my boss set up a call to say... what they have already planned with their justifications.

Yes and starting April 20th expect to hear a lot more about "Aviator" and "Agentic Orchestrators." Us trying to sell them means using them internally and telling customers we are using fully autonomous AI agents that can handle supply chain and legal workflows without human intervention. This is being positioned as their "all-in" bet for the 2026-2027 fiscal years.

The only thing OT will invest in is AI developers, sales reps and marketing. Everything else will be gutted on March 23rd saying, yes, AI can do everything else with a steering committee of “knowledge workers.”
