Are they merging teams within the client service and implementation teams? Also is GCIR and RFP teams part of this?

@de okay um AI should be able to do a lot of the stuff that goes in with all those groups. Headcount should decrease, not gone but less. Automate all these manual tasks. Client rebates and queries that should not be a full job - AUTOMATE. Decks, graphs and charts - AUTOMATE. Loooong mundane RFPs that are mostly stock answers - AUTOMATE. Sales people that don’t know the strategies and are technically incompetent - FIRE

@OP I’ve seen GCAS effectively do the job of what RMs are on the hook for. If >90% of client servicing is done by GCAS/GCIR/RFP then culling the RM team seems the way to go. Especially when there’s not a lot of sales…

The merger is a perfect opportunity to cut redundant management layers. They should carefully weed out those toxic managers who only pretend to be competent. These individuals do nothing but complicate tasks, attack talented people to protect their own positions, and constantly hinder real progress.
