Most of the posts here are from people who were let go or did not like the company policies like RTO. Would like to hear from folks who left the firm as you couldn't deal with your immediate manager or one above them - basically management who knows who you are and what you do. What was the red line for your decision? Have you found another job? Which part of the firm you were in - Ops, TSG, Engineering, etc.

Good lord the d-mb comments and inability to comprehend . Ratings vs rankings? You’re all d-mb as fu-k. They changed your fu--ing performance rating to make you look like you don't perform well. nobody gives a fu-k about ranking here and they dont rank you period. Based on the d-mb comments, management isnt only reason people are leaving. Stupid a-s coworkers are right up there too
@qp do you even work here? Your statement is nonsense.
@qp ratings are real
Well, the eleven down votes on @nv shows that plenty of people don't know the difference between rankings and ratings. Rankings by definition have to be forced. Ratings by definition should not be forced.
I’m trying to leave due to P-M and how ridiculous this all is, the continuous offshoring roles, the executive team and their idiocy, RTO rules that are just laughable, and this obsession with AI. Not that AI isn’t everywhere but holy he-l Robin and his bandits can’t make any statement with saying “AI.” Using it just to use it even when there isn’t a proper use case. But ya, my current manager kinda su-ks too. I think I’ve had 3 conversations with them in 6 months
@gp there is nothing wrong with forced rankings other than it's pretty hard to do across departments and salary levels.
I did. My manager told me all the forced rankings, forced pip n go's were real. Based on that, I left. F bony. It's been five months and I've glad I left.
I left due to the toxic behavior of my exco committee member in Finance.
My direct manager was his parrot.
I left about 3 years ago but still check this place to see what’s going on. I left precisely because of my manager. Back in 2021, we got a new senior leader in AS that pretty much bloated his org by hiring more senior people on top of the existing teams there. Our team was pretty small so we didn’t need another layer in the reporting line but we got one in 2022. Pretty much she played favorites and hired her own people at a more senior level with less responsibilities. All the growth I had earned during the last 10 years was to be cut off. After I left, most of my team left within months. That being said, a bad manager can be a blessing in disguise because it can force you to work towards that next step in your career that’s out of your comfort zone. I didn’t leave banking but went to a much different side of the industry and I kick myself for not doing it sooner.
I almost did the first year I was hired but decided it was my company as much as it was hers. She bragged to me about making excuses to fly to the NYC office a few hundred miles away so she could spend time in the city shopping etc. I was supposed to go there to meet the rest of our team and she wanted me to book a train. When a few of us new-hires made travel arrangements we booked jet blue that took a few hours instead of all day and she flipped out saying by the time we paid for the car from the airport was too expensive.
I was laid off due to a direct manager - it was personal.

I left because the people from India, although nice, are hopelessly inept and my boss’s boss was really inept!
I left at the first, and I mean very first, opportunity due to my immediate manager. Forced ranking were fuel to already blazing fire from P-M and toxicity
P-M and RTO were reasons, but managers were also a big issue. I would get a new one every six months, all Indian, who didn't like dealing with women.
