Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Why I tell my friends to avoid Fiserv

When people ask me for career advice now, I tell them to stay away from here. I was excited when I joined. The branding's strong and the reputation's solid. The reality's completely different. The day-to-day work is chaotic, there's no clear direction from the top, and the turnover's staggering. You spend half your time training new people and the other half wondering when your own luck will run out. It's genuinely one of the few professional decisions I look back on with regret. The toll it takes on your personal life isn't worth the paycheck. You can absolutely do better for yourself. Keep looking.

@1ve This company is quite special just looking in that regard. Got no personal problem with most people, they are cool to me. But it is pretty sus nonetheless just to exist here and look around.

@rd If you mean when you hand them garbage I agree. I would pout too. Nobody seems that rude to me. Other problems, sure.

This place is a toxic waste dump - the number of H1B Indians taking US jobs is out of control. Engineering team is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. Never come to work here - you will regret it

Well said. They treat their employees very poorly. Zero job security and they’re constantly taking away benefits. The latest is reduction in bonus with ZERO merit increase after working your a-s off in 2025. At this point they’re getting desperate candidates wanting a job while they search for another.

This place is full of tribal knowledge and rude senior members who pout when they don't get their way.

@jb Learn a lesson to not stretch yourself thin. The company didn't hire you to get promoted, they hired you to fill a seat. If you get promoted it is a bonus but expect to make what you signed up for, get experience, and leave for better pay after a few years. Same as most corporate jobs. They pay you for your skill at the moment and will say nice things to keep you doing it longer. Anything else is wishful thinking.

As for myself, I would never ki-l myself for a carrot dangling on a stick.

If you don't put the effort in to build yourself and to do it for what it makes of you, vs for the transaction, you may be wasting your life.

They blatantly lied about giving me a raise for 2 years. Stuck it out covered key areas that took an 2 person team by myself and asked for a raise again for it to be shot down. Put my 2 weeks in and will not look back. Do not ask me to stretch myself thin if there is no incentive because then my incentive is to leave

This place still reeks. Sure some things have changed here and there recently but don’t be fooled by the people on here shilling for this place. Fundamentally flawed unless there’s radical change.

Yeppers, I won't either unless you're desperate, starving and you're house is ready to be reposesed.
