I started with the company back in 2015 and I've seen four different management structures. The pattern is always the same. You get a manager who is charming in meetings but completely absent when you need support. I recently had a weekly catch-up that started giving me a knot in my stomach. It was never about development or help, just a list of things that needed to be done yesterday. I finally updated my resume this week. It feels like the only way to protect your peace is to leave.

@OP like your mom pushed you out
Yeah my one on ones with my supervisor are the most useless meetings I’ve ever had. Literally lasts 5 minutes in which he asks me if I need anything from him. Thats it.
@OP Totally agree with you. In my area, our management is absent all the way up to the VP level. No one has bothered to show any interest in learning who we are, what we are working on or what we think. They just want us to fill out countless spreadsheets by which they monitor our productivity. No engagement whatsoever. Thank goodness we are not working remotely - might miss some collaboration!
It is tough to be an adult. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out...
