@kp RTO didn’t change this. In fact, it made this worse. Now people show up at 6 in the morning and disappear by 2PM and are not heard from until the next morning. The office is almost completely empty by 3PM every single day.
RTO is not about coming to the office its about gettign ride of all the worless mothers that do the miniumum and leave at 3:30 to get their kids form school.
RTO = Pay Cut. No way around that simple fact.
@an “An Oddity” LOL. WFH and hybrid are the industry standard. 80% of companies operate in a WFH or hybrid model. Those forcing RTO are companies in financial distress and trying to save severance dollars by making working conditions so terrible people decide to quit.

Mine too. And they understand this, so that’s why teams like ours are all slowly but surely getting centralized.
Soon enough the only teams in individual markets will be the actual market folks.
And I don’t care because I’m already retirement eligible, I ain’t moving, and am retiring one way or another. But everyone should see this writing on the wall.

Even if none of your team is local, there is still good opportunity to network. Everyone bi--hes there is no opportunities. Well, go out there and make some. I know someone who took a promotion from engineering to CRE just from networking. Go create some opportunities.

"More collaboration"... with who? With teammates and leadership spread across all the hubs? With our overseas brethren?
"problem solving" ... by who? Most/all of the smart folks have already left for greener pastures.
