Especially since they cut the perks at work :(

What 'perks' were cut?
@cz it's generous if you don't work a high turnover roll like the phones. Most are attritioned before they vest in "generous" programs.
Move up (promotions) and the money will you enable you to change your family tree. There are share programs few know about or will ever participate in. It is the reason, sr. Management will do anything to survive. In years past, participation was liberal if you were a high performer and had somewhat at the top championing your success. Now, the share programs are likely coddled by sr. Management. Political skills over performance have allowed some long term employees to survive and thrive. There is at least one long term employee at extremely high level was barely productive years ago but he was a master at the su-k up. The rewards might be out of balance these days.
@cz The math looks great on paper, but only if you're in a qualifying location. A lot of folks, especially the crew in New Mexico, are capped at the base because they’re excluded from the surplus distributions for one reason or another. It’s hard to call it a '40% boost' when a significant chunk of the workforce doesn't actually have access to it. They don't advertise this.
@cz
only if you’re a brown noser 😬
The pay isn’t lower.
The cash take home is only one part of your pay.
If you do a good job and go to the office as required, you’ll get a bonus on top of that.
401k is 7% of base + bonus
10% profit sharing on base + bonus
Shares opportunity can boost it even more.
For me, you add all that stuff and that’s another 40% on top of my base pay.
That’s very very generous.
