I used to love working here. Now I'll take almost anything to get out. IBM has changed so much in the last decade to the point it's completely unrecognizable. The first half-decent offer I get, I'm gone.

Before I left I made sure with my end users I can use them for references.
@OP what are you doing to get that offer? I agree that IBM is NOT a place where anyone with talent should stay. (Ignoring the talents of the Rob T.'s and higher who cannot believe their luck.) But what are your skills and what are you doing to get a good offer?
Gerstner put the old IBM out with the garbage and gets way too much credit for "saving IBM" and "changing IBM culture". BS. He cooked the books with financial engineering and cut worker pay and benefits. What I call the G way. I was there before and after the G way. The last 4 IBM CEOs have been horrific. Covid made it worse. DEI and Wokeness made it worse. This video of Arvind talking about hiring quotas made it much worse. IBM for a long time has been like the cafeteria in high school where you had cliques of people who sat together. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0u74BDiAjN/

why can't they create their own companies in their own country

the citizens from neither of those countries are flooding negatively into the US
