Layoffs will begin Monday. RIF lists due Friday.
- 15%-20% of ranked lowest performers
- if your productivity using AI hasn’t increased you are also ranked and considered

@ad There are reports directors are getting about usage of AI - multiple GBUs have these metrics
@bb To all those down voting - I hope you get laid off and wonder why.
@bn It is a factor. Oracle is smart enough to add a few younger persons to the list to cover it up.
@as Yes in India they git rid of "older" folks even if they perform well. By old I mean 35+. With the su-k your blood work culture there - they want younger fresh blood every year. With such a big population, they have people lined up to have their blood su-ked and suffer. Poverty is a great motivator. Exploitation at peak. But even India is expensive now, so they will find newer countries where exploitation can continue at lower cost. Race to the bottom.
@b5 Since the last layoffs many employees have adopted this attitude to survive the nonsense that is Oracle Management politics. Always gets me how the layers upon layers of management (VPs, Directors) who contribute zilch, give zero ROI, cost the most with inflated pay survive along with their sycophants who also do a great job kissing behind but contribute minimum to zilch. Targeted are those are working hard for lower pay than these previous useless people. How does this make any sense? Top heavy company that will eventually just topple over.
@OP which divisions/teams are affected? From where you got this info? I am a manager of small team and I wasn’t asked to provide any list. My manager says he knows nothing. Last time when layoffs happened he said “I am not allowed to say”.
@OP layoffs have nothing to do with performance but all with cost and of course self promotion.
@bn Age might not be a factor in the US, but the rest of the world is... a bit looser with restrictions.
@br Both
@ad Yeah that's a good question. Also, are they measuring PRODUCTIVITY using AI or how much time you spend TRAINING AI?
@as Age cannot be a factor. That would be discrimination. Oracle is smart enough not to do something that stupid
@OP Monday? For certain? In that case I'll take the weekend off (for a change).
@ad These words sound great to id--ts. Not everyone is taking the same assignments or exams as you might have in school. As such it is difficult in many cases to rank individuals. More along the lines of likes and dislikes not performance per se. In some cases, it is performance or ability or commitment.
Skynet is taking care of everything.
Maybe this time our broken-clock troll is going to guess correct. I doubt it.
@b3 maybe
Good! I’ve ignored any IA tools and quietly quit 2 year ago so I’ve just been coasting. Hopefully my sh--e attitude has been noted. Ready for the package!!!!
@b3 of course
is this affecting Oracle offices in the Czech republic? does anybody know?
Performance is only one component. Level, cost, and age are all factors.
And the list you’ve updated in the skills database!
Do not need 12 overlays in my DP territory...
Don't need all these DB SC specialists.....
Don't need all these managers from every LOB imaginable......
Let's all agree: way too many people here !!
Folks saying grace over the same food for years.
Crazy it's gone on this long.

How can you measure such thing?
