Does anyone think that severance amounts will be impacted for future layoffs?

@a3 You must be new here. Nothing is announced in advance. RIF’ing with an end date x weeks in the future allows them to bypass WARN
I need the severance. The mind is a terrible thing to waste at Verizon.

3 weeks per year of service up to 20 years
@a4. Yes they would need to open the contract to make that change this is just an extension.
The eipp amounts remain the same with this contract. No changes.
Looks like the direction is to utilize PIP to cut perceived under performers moving forward. Larger RIF will follow local WARN requirements - typically 1wk for each year of service.
