Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

@b5 Everything DC has done the last two years is to boost stock so I don't think he's being let go. I think he is retiring so he doesn't have to deal with what the next five years gonna look like.

@b1 Well Brian is the clown former CFO who led us down this mess, and DC is the one who is being let go.

@b3 Honestly, I don't think they are fake. He's been around a long time.

@ad

Give me a break. Who cares about his fake little tears after all the damage he's done to us over the years. Glad he's going but I don't expect the new regime to be any better.

@ak

His care stops at his front door. Our families are our problems, not his. He's not going to burden himself with that kind of needless concern.

Anyone get feeling Brian and DC dont like each other and they are just faking it live on stage?

@ay Yo, be as critical as you want, but be above making fun of their appearances. Do better.

Glad they’re having such a good ‘ol time at this Cigna shindig. No stress, worry or anxiety for these 2 corporate millionaires.

David needs to start eating and Brian needs hair plugs for men. Both make me gag with their fake sincerity.

Is this drama really necessary, most employees are looking forward for update and what's next for the company which is critical but all we get is this.

They’re gonna break out the paddles but not address the layoffs? Jesus Christ this is tough to watch

If time was so important, why hasn't corporate America embraced the 32-hour 4-day work week? All studies have shown increased happiness, productivity, and health. Oh right... they don't actually give a p-o about anyone else or their time. They just wish more good things for their own younger selves.

This meeting just shows how big our leadership’s blind spots are.

We can be both understanding of his emotion and also critical of his choices. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

'my family is extremely important to me' ... What about the family of all those we serve... What about those whose jobs were eliminated and their families because you want to ship their jobs offshores where we make $0 revenue

Why is DC so emotional? That he made bank off of destroying this company's culture, laying off numerous employees, and gatekeeping/denying vital healthcare to people by "leading" a health care company in the US? If he really cared, he definitely should have done things differently! Maybe he's just sad he won't be able to use corporate funds so that he can hang around famous athletes anymore...

@aa Pretty incredible to watch the display just 2 weeks after emotionless layoffs. "Just showbiz baby. Those RSUs still vesting for me though!!"

If we were a caring company there would be very few posts on this forum. Either crocodile tears or a fundamental
lack of understanding for how a caring company treats its employees. These people might as well be politicians. It’s disgusting to see the crying when you ruined many many people’s lives!

It’s a whole lot of nothing so far. I’m only watching so I can see if the rumors about Cigna going majority offshore are true. But I don’t think they will mention anything good.

Not a tear was shed for employees let go who served Cigna for several years, decades in some cases.
