I am looking to begin my mech engineering career at L3Harris on Long Island (Amityville). I’ve seen conflicting views from this forum…Any advice or tips I should know?

AiI does that now fool, where you been?
Amityville is one of the facilities that will close as the company continues to reduce its real estate footprint.
Stay far away from Amityville
Run away, this company wants to outsource all of IT
@e5 - yes, use every resource and reference at your disposal to decide if you really want to go to L3 Harris or not. Review Glassdoor, look at the 1, 2 and 3 star reviews with explanation and not the fake 4 and 5 star- that have no words behind them.
Since you can't spell, you're a perfect fit for L3HARRIS and Amityville will close soon so good luck.
The company is large so your experience will depend on which specific group you'll land in. I do not know anything about that group but a lot of the experiences here, good or bad probably is not Amityville specific. I would not let it deter you and you can on Glassdoor for reviews as well.
If you go to L3Harris, you’ll regret it. I guarantee it and remember my words for the future.
@be how does the missile solutions business affect the company/employees… especially if the location is part of it
Personally, I think of L3 of always in a hire/fire rotation. Now with the current situation, maybe there will be less fire. But if I were you, I'd check out Northrop, its a much better place to work. I've experienced both.
fu-k you, you don’t deserve this
