Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

I9 verification ?

Whats the inside word on I9 verification some U.S. employees are being pushed through? 7 days to prove citizenship or be fired? Is this an attempt to fire without severance?

I love how the "Blue Bleeders" were so quick and happy to log into that site and joyfully whipped out that ID, social security card, birth certificate and flash it up on the screen for some total stranger to see without asking any questions or expressing any concerns. THIS shows how conditioned, brainwashed, and obedient these sad pathetic simps are to "Big Blue"...

Me? I chatted with HR and asked for a U.S. based HR manager to go on Teams live via call to express my concerns and to hear their reasons why this was needed as a condition of employment. Then I stated how I refused to do the not secure dog and pony show that was presented and said I would provide my documents to her live right there with an actual Allstate party with documentation signed that my documentation would be used 100% for company use. Which they did and I provided what was required. Not much more of effort and certainly less hassle than the issues and problems most had with it. And that was done.

See folks, if you stand up for yourselves and not "be-doverfor those you needlessly fear and that have not earned your respect then you can get things done other ways. Just accepting bulls-hit from this company shows weakness and you really have no place to complain about things.

Stand up for yourselves. The company works for you as much as you work for this company.

This was done pretextually do to an “HR software change”.

In reality, it took places exactly at the uptick of ICE enforcement, and to be clear I am NOT making a judgement either way re: that.

What IS insulting is telling your employees the reason every 2nd or 3rd one (check w your peers— or dont) was singled out to report to an Equifax drone was for housekeeping.

Honey please: it was done probably in response to US gov fiat or “incentivized” with some BS payroll or HHS favored liability status line employees will never see - but that absolutely benefits the Allstate bottom line.

Just tell me I have to line up and show “my papers please!” (thats what I did with some equifax flunkie stranger on my web camera) “… and show me both sides of your ID!” like I was at a US Army MEPS on enlistment day, and I still would have done it because … I am beaten down and NEED this job. I know im not proud.

But the intelligence insulting ruse? : could have spared us, rly.

When HR systems change, if audits prove that the data in the old system is not reliable, it must be retrieved again.

That or there is an official audit coming and they are prepping.

Either way it's more than likely bc our filing/data was bad.

I called the DOJ and they confirmed Allstate cannot request verification a 2nd time without a reason. So far HR has failed to give the reason they are requesting this information again after 20 years with the company. The woman at the DOJ will contacting Allstate HR regarding this.
