@20k are you that thick , they are not going to give you a severance and the give you a rtm position too🤓
Could you take a severance and reapply or do you not get the severance if you get the job?
@pg all Sales reps were servered effective Feb27 with a option to reapply for RTM position with new territories you could have taken severance then- RMS were given RTM position no offer of severance Sa,'s werent There was no offer made to Sales reps to become a FTOW So if you didn't apply you were. done Feb27
@18m
I agree. The young g-ns have alot to say with little knowledge.
@18n I'm going to turn this into a learning moment for you and the rest of you youngsters. Those of us here in the 30 plus club survived through all the layoffs and restructures because the company needed workers like us to serve as examples of possibly having a long term career with this company. Most of us could probably still outwork the new crowd and unfortunately there are still a few who have survived based on their ways of manipulation of the system. But this is not what we want, for us to be fighting amongst ourselves.. what i want you to understand is that the over-saturation and influx of more workers, part time and full time, is something that the company did before in hopes of making the plan work. But everything we are seeing right now has happened before. There was a bunch of new hires, so look for the hiring freeze to end in the next few weeks. Look for reps to suddenly start helping train new order writers. Look for older guys start getting joked at about retiring and not being able to take all that money with you when you die anyway. Look for new territory alignments and meetings about territory alignments start happening. I know we have done all these in small shake ups before that didn't lead to anything but this time has a different feel to it. I might be wrong and for everyone's sake I hope I am, but there's smoke on the horizon. We can all see it.
Lol yeah and that’s all in the past, we’re talking the present, not 1990 vs what it is today. We’re talking about the positions now, and how they are changing with the new structure not how it was 30 years ago compared to now. You’re One of them doddering old fools reps that’s been with the company for 30 plus years not having a clue what going on today lol. Are you even with Mondelez now, or are you someone that retired and don’t even know what’s going on adding their two cents on how things “used to be “?
@181 I know more than you, that’s for sure! Any SR that is around, hasn’t been around too long. The SR job is not what it used to be, at all. They’ve cut the bonus structure to less than half, of you are even able to attain it at all. The last 10 years they have destroyed the job of the SR. Even giving the SR of today $10k more, that’s still $30k less than it used to be. Where’s the overtime we got as an SR to give employees work/life balance? You may want to think before you act, embarrassing yourself.
@15, they are paying reps and additional 10k as to what they were already making, so that doesn’t really make sense that you’re saying the reps made way more… and both the RMS positions moved to RTM, but they kept their same salary, so how exactly are they saving money? Nobody lost their job and they hired additional FTOW and PTM’s… you really don’t know what you’re talking about do you?
I definitely won't stick around if they do that sh-t here. Are we sure RTM will roll out everywhere?
@12t I make way more than $10,000 above my base salary now. I don't work much overtime, and the bonuses haven't been great, and I'm still making way more than my base salary. If the companies angle is to make everyone straight salary, no overtime with only a 10K bump, that will be a lot less than I'm making now. The new position is clearly a lot more responsibility, I'm sure more work as well, so only 10K more is a joke and a rip off for what will be expected. No thanks!
@12t reps and RMS’s made more than $10k more, way more! They have eliminated another layer of management and added back hourly workers! You don’t think this is a cost saving measure? You gotta be fooling yourself. They are overstocking on people cause they know people will quit, this company has been a revolving door for years! Yes, dsd will eventually end, this is the only country Mondelez utilizes dsd, the problem is they will lose so much money when they aren’t controlling what’s being shipped into the stores. They have used product loading for so many years, they don’t want to give that up!
Not sure how they’re saving money at all…. All the reps to rtm got about a 10k increase in salary per year, now they are hiring more ftows to work to fill in the stores that the reps were merching, And another part timer on my territory as well. We honestly don’t need that many people, and it will just be people sitting in their cars to get their hours after doing a a rushed merching job. I already see my new ftow rushing through stores as fast as he can , to do what With that spare time in the day? Scroll tik tok in his car probably. Another ftow i noticed getting to store two hours before delivery just to get hours in, when i know there isn’t two hours of backstock to do. This is going to waste more money than ever and be a fail. Just end it.
@10z as the company struggles to have growth, not shown from downsizing their packages, they now need to eliminate jobs. Real simple. This is nothing more than an attempt to save money. This will of course be another epic failure.
RTM is this company’s last attempt to keep dsd going . This first week was a disaster and moving forward doesn’t look much better. Rms was a year long training process and they were still not 100% doing the right thing. RTM a day and a half at headquarters and weekly zoom call refreshers this is set to fail in a large region. Handing off territory’s not fully staffed with 8 more stores. We are going to fail this pilot and then that’s all she wrote
Can someone confirm displaced North East employees received a severance?
Lol the stores are going to be a disaster without the reps going behind and cleaning up 😆
@n8 That’s funny cause my FTOWs are just as confused. They think I’m supposed to take as many deliveries as they do. Most of the ones on this team have no idea what even happened cause management here do a terrible job of communicating anything or even being remotely helpful. Even if we get fully staffed I probably will still take a delivery or help pack out cause I can’t see myself being as lazy and useless. I must not be meant for management with that mindset!
Everyone else already said they offered severances. I've been thru like 10 restructures and they always offer severances
There is not severance offered for this transition…RMS have the RTM option. SRs have the FTOW option…
I've been saying all along I'd take the severance. Every change they make is for the worse. No overtime is a HUGE red flag. Run
First week as rtm, been training a new ftow for second week so far. He’s looks at his phone a lot, half listens to what i say to him. Says he’s trying to start his own business and tells me a lot about that while I’m trying to train him…. almost two weeks with him and he asks if im a merchandiser too like him and if its possible to move up in the company …🙄 . Meanwhile my other ftows are under the impression that things are still the same and expect me to come help them pack out their loads of they have too much, in their heads nothing has really changed. It’s just……all so stupid. I should’ve taken the severance
@b1 sounds about right, just as I thought! That severance is looking better and better. I suspected this would happen, they would tell us things so the job was appealing and unfortunately it will never be what they said it would be and there I would be. If I quit then, they won, no severance paid out. For anyone on the fence, let this be a lesson. Now you know the reality, work till the job is done regardless and if you aren’t happy, quit! Exactly why it’s salaried with no overtime pay!
They said the same thing when mission 1 started. Told us 0 merchandising and 0 order writing. I merchandise more than I ever have since mission 1 started
If they are telling u that u won’t b writing orders and not doing merchandising, then refuse to do it when ur short staffed. they made the bed…let them lie in it
@b1 Exactly what I believe will happen in every area. This company is delusional.
Did anyone get laid off?
Today was my first day as an RTM not writing orders and packing out…but guess what I did today??!! Wrote orders and packed out, just like I will everyday until we’re “fully staffed”, which will be never.
See how long that will last, not long I bet!
It must be sooper nice , managing your route from home and not writing orders or throwing loads , oops someone called out , just shift it to one of your world class award wining merchandisers
