@OP Try Christian Healthcare Ministries (no, you don't have to be Christian, and be careful when looking on the Internet because there are copy cats. They are also on ACA. I used them for four years after I was rifle and before I turned 65. They don't pay for everything, but I looked at it as catastrophic coverage. If you don't have dependants and are relatively healthy, it could work.

I priced both. ACA was $200.00 a month more expensive than Cobra, so for us it makes sense to go with Cobra for now.

I pay $950 a month for just myself.

Go without insurance until you land your next gig which offers coverage through the company.

Anything you'd be getting on your own otherwise will be majorly costing you out the @zz.

@a7 Not always cheaper than Cobra. ACA costs will be based on your previous year's income. A number of years ago my spouse was laid off and we went from >$200K income to right at $95K.

ACA for our family of 3 was close to $1400 a month. WITH like an 8,000 deductible.

If you are laid off you will become eligible for the affordable care act since it’s considered a life changing event. Way cheaper than cobra

The rates are on Sparq - enter "COBRA" in the search field and the document comes right up.
