Staying on high alert, no matter what

Assume the worst, regardless of what you're told. Layoffs might be over, but don't act like it. This is my second takeover. The first was a nightmare, for me and the company. I'm lining up options and staying ready. Things can go sideways in an instant, with no notice at all.

Want experiences with Sycamore? Local to the Deerfield corporate? Ask the former employees of Quill, Staples, Essendant. Or look up the history of what they did to Belk, Aeropostale or any of the numbers of mall brands they "reinvented" If you expand the private equity view into others, look at what happened at Sears.
