40 hours and then some.
It doesn't matter from where I'm doing it. Work is still work.

And you wonder why they’re making more and more days in office mandatory? It’s because of posts like this and your stupidity.

I'm sure there are quite a few full-time remote people working 2 full-time remote jobs. Especially the ones that kiss butt to their managers or happen to be friends with their managers so they are off the radar. I've seen the lack of productivity from certain individuals which makes you wonder. But these are the ones they keep and lay off the good ones.

These people go laid off were considered “family” but got “9 boxed” and rated to save the VPs job. This place is so toxic. Best of the best laid off. My buddy worked here tried to commit su----e because the cares so much about the job when getting cut. Many years of hard work. Went though the best times of staples, had the best trajectory. Was laid off and tried to take his life. I wish these leaders saw what they did. These people will rot in he-l.

Not a whole lot of rhyme and reason to layoffs if you ask me. I have seen plenty of good workers get laid off, but also plenty of bad workers. The company isn't deliberately laying off good workers. It is often people that make sense financially.

First I want to say that I am not defending Staples at all. I think their management is horrible and the company has deteriorated A LOT since SD left and even before that. I do want to defend the people that put an honest days work in and care about the customers that pay our wages. It's sad for everyone at the company to have to fear layoffs all the time knowing that people are not pulling their weight.. It is sad that employees don't care enough to ask what they can do improve the company they chose to work for. I agree 100 percent that the long time people that were laid off were the ones that cared about the company and cared about the customers. Staples is not the company it once was but I know that some people still have pride in their work and the contributions they make to the company. Unfortunately these will be the people that get laid off. It's no wonder it's a sinking ship.

People stay either because the job is too easy and they can do another job at the same time and get double pay or they are too bad at their job to find a company as stupid as this one to not fire them or they are tenured and they have loyalty but no their number will come up at some point so they are just waiting it out. That pretty much covers the why anyone stays. Or you are part of the inner circle and you are getting paid the “bank”

System improvements have taken a lot of work from me. It'll be interesting what AI does as well. I stay because there is no where else to go. I'm always looking, but finding a new job is easier said than done.

If ya'll have no f@ck$ to give anymore, why do you stay?

No wonder this place can’t/won’t survive. The people who cared and worked were all laid off in the last 5 years because their salaries were too high. Like everything else, you get what you pay for.

The managers are too stupid or too lazy to care and anyone director vp or above they work less hours than that. Declining sales for years. Expect a layoff coming soon right after conference in Orlando. Will actually impact the same city where conference is being held. Insult to injury

I can get mine done in less than 10 hours a week currently. The hard weeks are maybe 15 hours. The hardest part of the job is looking like I'm busy working. I wish I had something to do though. It's way too boring.
