Thread regarding Belk layoffs

I honestly hope they'll end soon.

It is astonishing that Belk expects professional loyalty while their stores literally rot around them.

From water-stained ceilings to predatory workloads, the 'Belk experience' is one of pure misery.

They don't care about your department; they only care about how much labor they can squeeze out of you before you break.

I quit without notice because they earned that lack of courtesy. It’s a dying brand for a dying generation, and the day they finally close their doors will be a mercy to the retail industry. Just go away Belk.

It’s truly sad to witness a once family-owned company bought out by an investment firm, only to face bankruptcy within five years and become a disaster. Customer service has vanished, and while they pretend to care about employee well-being, leadership seems out of touch. Instead of focusing on outlet stores, they appear to be trying to mimic TJ Maxx. However, we all know that "outlet" often means higher prices than what you’d pay for clearance items in their original stores. They’re unlikely to succeed, as they’re still stuck in a Goodwill-like mindset.
