It seems there are plenty of store associates out front playing on their phones. Lord only knows what the ones in back are doing.

Cut supervisors, managers and directors. They're dead weight.

There is plenty more to cut before one even needs to get creative. Just look around. You'll see many no show band 5 & ups and low performance "leaders" to shed. Swathes of retail locations need to be bundled and sold. There are many buildings no longer in use that could be repurposed or sold. Leases to cancel or not renew are other potential areas of savings. There are many more jobs that can easily be sent to India adding to those already sent there. Anyone can see this ship needs a lot of maintenance done that has been long deffered. I would argue enough so that it needs to be drydocked. The new CEO was tapped because of his skills in this area. It is obvious the ship has been rudderless for far to long.

Who can deny that McAdumbs was the worst CEO Verizon had. Sold off assets including Basking Ridge. Thought Wireless was the way to go so brought the rest of BA Mobile from Vodaphone at the highest price of the British Sterling. Even his neighbors couldn’t stand him.

@OP the author who penned this editorial only has a superficial knowledge of what is for sale and where the living bodies are going to be found.

For example, Verizon is divesting its real estate and Verizon needs to move to a red state.

Given, this makeover of Verizon will take some time and will not be overnight.

Unfortunately, sadly, there is much more room for cost cutting. However, cannot experience another network outage impacting our important customers.
