Supervisor’s Holiday PTO Reminder or Possible Implication About Post‑Review Layoffs?

All employees receive three 8‑hour holiday days each year. My supervisor advised me to use all three, and mentioned that if I don’t use them, I will lose them. I’m unsure whether she was simply reminding me about the policy or implying something else, such as a possible layoff, by encouraging me to use the remaining holiday hours.

What do you think she was trying to say?

My old sup used to remind us this all the time - I think some people use the MyTime first and then get surprised at the end of the year when they lose 24 hours since floaters don't carry over.

If you have an emergency fund stuff like this wont keep you second guessing a kind reminder.

You get 3 floating days to use in the year they do not carry over to next year and are not paid out if quit. If you take time always use those 1st before using accrued PTO. If you leave accrued PTO is paid out
