Or are we enjoying a well-deserved break right now?

@fj No there isn't. Quit with the fear mongering you d-mb button. Mass layoffs are over at Dell for the time being. Employee count is where they want it, Mav is rolling out in May, stock is up, last quarter was good, so it's now just a trickle of layoffs weekly/monthly like it's always been.
@fj Layoffs are year round dude. For the last 6 years they have notoriously laid off thousands every Feb/Mar and Aug/Sept, but that was 100% to get them to a specific employee count. Well, they've hit that number or are VERY close to it, so the typical large layoffs aren't needed anymore. Trickle layoffs will happen year round, of course but there is no "next round."
A few people getting axed in an org isn't a "round" nor is even 100 people. August 2024, 12 THOUSAND people were laid off. THAT is a "round." Last August it was around 3 thousand people.
@cb I believe if you are someone who is considered "field" then being at a customer site is perfectly fine and counts as "in office."
@fj There is no "next round." The round is all year long... There was no "round" this February like normal because Dell has hit their employee count, stocks are up, and last few quarters were pretty decent. I do think there will be a minimal and very targeted layoff in May/April due to Maverick rolling out in early May - which is NOT going to go well as it is NOT ready by any means.
Then it will be remote employees who begin to feel the heat - specifically the low performers and high salaried folks.
Next round in April…
What is you are in US Field dales and there is not even a Dell office located in your state ? Are you still a target? If you sit in a customer or partners office during the week, does that count!!
No, at least nothing on a large scale like previous years anyways. As we all know Dell laysoff 24/365 but what I have heard is that full remotes are being targeted.
just waiting for our IBP baby
