Read an article that there was 1320 employees laid off this past Friday...is this true?

This isn’t anything new…
Cuts began on Friday when Verizon, based in Basking Ridge, cut 1,319 employees. Those reductions were initially announced in November 2025.

It’s the new jersey people who were notified in November. NJ requires 90 days notice.
