It didn't take c1 long after they announce to buy a 5.15B company to sh*t on their existing employees.... what's not in your wallet for much longer?

Be aware of the signs it’s coming, corporate lay offs are everywhere right now and have been since COVID. Discover did them much more often than employees even knew. No matter how much you like your job, your boss or your team…. They are not your family… even though Discover sold that idea culturally daily.
@ab Hysterical
@km not true, lots of high performers were let go
It’s pretty much just management choosing based on their own internal criteria’s.
Lots of product owners, hr, cyber, were
Let go.
Many associates and principals too probably making too much
@j0 enhanced severance has a minimum weeks of payment. Something like 28 weeks even if you only have 1 year of service
@a6 Infrastructure also got hit. People with inconsistent or low rating were let go.
I’m sorry to hear this. Sincerely, all the best to those impacted.
Any rhyme or reason for those let go? I’m at pulse which everyone thought was most secure and many random people laid off yesterday. None of them were redundant due to merger.
@et how is enhanced severance different from the regular severance ( from legacy Discover employee)?
Two people on my team were let go. Been at DFS for almost a decade and this is the first big RIF.
I’m hoping to get laid off and get enhanced severance. Literally been slacking the last year and still got good ratings.
BT Card Servicing teams got hit…
@a6 They already got infrastructure today.
Sounds like a bunch of busy work mumbo jump fun time groups getting canned who do nothing. Us in Card carry the company, laughing from card 😂
How many people? I heard infrastructure under bt is next
